a little modesty

Sometimes the simplest projects bring the greatest satisfaction.

You see, there are a lot of little quirks about our house. One of them is the fact that there is a window in our bathroom, right behind the toilet. The window is frosted, but not frosted enough apparently, and from the outside (right by the front door) you can even see the toilet tank. We ran a few tests, and in the right light (which is most light) you can see bare booties through that window!

You wouldn’t think it would have taken me this long (here we are at 10 months) to do something about this. Maybe it is my old skinny-dipping brazenness shining through. But at last I made a curtain! Needless to say, it has come as quite a relief, and as an added bonus I have really been enjoying seeing this fabric hanging. I have been holding on to it for over a year, waiting for just the right use.

So there you have it. A booty hiding panel of pretty vintage eyelet lace.

I wonder if you’ll now have less visitors – you know they can sneak a peek!
It’s funny isn’t it, but the toilet it the one place that we sit (still) for some amount of moments each day. It should be a place where we see something beautiful to send us on our way for the rest of the day.
We have an astrological calendar – the only place where I get 2 seconds (before someone little bursts in the door) to actually read it!

You found the perfect use for this gorgeous panel of fabric & lace, that’s really lovely.
Oh boy, I can’t imagine that someone could have seen you in the toilets, how the horror !!!
Ours have no window, no natural light, unfortunately. Well, at least I don’t have to bother about someone’s looking at me LOL

Sorry, my english is very bad.

I love what you did with the window, the lace eyelets are a really nice touch, lets some light through rather than blocking it. It also took me a really long time to hang up a curtain in our bathroom, even though the neighbors are right there! Somehow it doesn’t bother me that much, hehe 😉
