abundance

posted in: in the kitchen, Life | 11

Hi, friends and hello, August.

How are you?

I’ve been thinking a lot about the concept of abundance, the natural flow of resources, and where I am and how I’m doing within that natural flow.

And, simultaneously, this is most definitely a time of particular kinds of earthly abundance.

I suddenly felt inspired to share here. I think I’d like to start writing more again, and I miss sharing photos and hearing from the kindred folks who read here. Tell me something! 🙂 What’s inspiring you right now? What do you love about this time right now? I’d love to hear from you.

Roadside blackberries are just starting to really ripen up here.

Today I made blackberry chia jam and blackberry corn muffins. The two together make a great pair.

There is an abundance of so much, if we take the time to see it and receive it.

I so enjoy your posts—very beautiful, simple, grateful, and helpful
I hope you are still selling items (occasionally) through Etsy—I’ll take a gander there to look.

What a nice surprise Abby! I miss the days of blog reading. It seems much more calm then the fast pace of scrolling through a feed on my phone. I love telling a story through photos too which you’ve always done so well here. All this to say, so great that you are planning on writing here more! maybe i will dust off my blog too 🙂

Hi Denise! I agree, and appreciate the change of pace here too. A quieter space, with room for pause. Would love to see you writing again. Thanks for reading and sharing x

Always love reading your posts Abby! They bring some kind of peace to busy days and make me appreciate small things more.

Im inspired by how summer makes me be more spontaneous. Have enjoyed taking trips to the forest and swim in the lake. And just linger around picking berries and taking things slow. 🙂

Thanks Eva! I love knowing that I might bring some peace and appreciation to someone’s day.

I can totally relate to the spontaneity that summer brings. Summertime makes it so easy to want to be outside and move my body. Your forest and lake trips sound so nice.

Hi Abby! Nice to hear from you again! There is SO much abundance this time of year – you’ve inspired me to get out and pick some blackberries! ❤️

Inspired by the soap I made from your recipe and the fact that it actually was soap when I went to use it. I thought it would fail because in my mind soap making is such a huge undertaking and unobtainable. Thank you for that and now I’ll always make my own!

The smell of tomato plants, cheery Zinnia flowers and spending time by the beach or on the lake. The smallest hint of Fall coming makes me want to make a linen scarf with crocheted edges that I’ve been eyeing on Pinterest. ♥

So satisfying to hear this and know that it worked out so well for you x
What a great feeling, isn’t it? I once thought that soap making must be a huge, difficult undertaking as well. Such a life-long useful skill to now have.

Your entries always calm me and bring peace… not to mention, a creative urge as well. The content and photos remind me of the welcome sign you see driving into Maine, “Maine, the way life should be.” ❤️ I do hope you keep blogging and making!
